In The Beginning.
I have always had an interest in photography, my father was a keen photographer and built his own darkroom in our loft, I can remember developing the films and putting them on paper running them through the developer and stopper trays etc etc.
Ever since then I have pretty much always had a camera to hand.
I first went digital with an Olympus C450z, don't ask me when as I cannot remember the year.
Moving on from there I worked for the NHS and ended up working for a manager who was and still is a very good amateur photographer who encouraged me to get a DSLR, I ended up buying a Canon EOS 30d with a 18-55mm kit lens, the rest as they say is history.

Along the way I have tried photography on a shoe string and to be honest there are bargains to be had but sometimes you just cannot compromise and need to spend serious money to get good equipment if you want to get good results.
