Nature Photography

I enjoy photographing all sorts of stuff, however it is difficult to find subjects where I live, it means you have to travel miles to do good landscape shots etc so I finally decided that Nature is abundant around where I live so thought this has to be the ideal stuff to photograph, and I have not been disappointed.
I concentrate mainly on birds, but anything that wants to come along jump in front of my lens is most welcome.
Its amazing what you see when you are out and about, and for me that is one of the things that keeps me going you never know what is going to be about, it does mean that I am up with the lark as I feel birds in particular are busiest first thing in the morning.
I have several local reserves near to me Pegwell Bay, Sandwich Bay, Stodmarsh, Oare Marshes to name but a few, I visit as often as the weather allows as I am trying to go for quality bird shots rather than record shots.
I owe quite a lot to a friend of mine who has shown me the error of my ways with regard to photographing birds.
My equipment has been upgraded over the years, I currently use a Canon 5dmk4 with a variety of Canon lenses, I have two tripods, one for bird photography and one for general use, plus a monopod which I have used a lot prior to getting my bird tripod.
